Málková, Tereza ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
The family is a term, which is known in each period of history of mankind. It played, playes and will play an important role in life of every individual. It helps to create an identity of individual, a scale of values and principles, which are so necessary for happy life. The topic of my thesis is Rights and Obligations of Parents and Children with Emphasis on Selected Issues of Development of Relationship between Parents and Children. I have chosen this topic because I think that this part of family law is very interesting, especially the questions regarding to the determination of parenthood in the time of the medical breakthroughs. The purpose of my thesis is to analyse Czech legislation with regard to international law. The thesis is composed of six chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of the relationships between parents and children and the determination of parenthood. Chapter one is introductory. It is subdivided into four parts. Part one deals with history of legislation of relationships between parents and children. Part two describes general features of this relationships. And third and fourth parts sort rights and obligations into groups and analyze the issue of a parental responsibility, which are the basic rights and obligations of parents and children. Compatibility of opinions on parenting in couples
Hurychová, Alice ; Pavlík, Petr (advisor) ; Šprincová, Veronika (referee)
The aim of this study is to compare views on parenting of partners (from a gender perspective) in families caring for children. Changes in women's position in society, their increasing financial contribution to the family budget and therefore economic background influence the opinions about the overall organization of family life, which is reflected in the actual division of parental roles and associated responsibilities. Although the paper focuses primarily on the opinions and ideas about parenting, I did not fail to devote some space also their subsequent practice. Close interaction of people who share a household and raising children, can result in blindness, which in turn creates the feeling of certain conformity of opinion. Parents can sometimes mistakenly believe that their views on parenthood are shared by their partners. In the research I have included ten couples raising two or more children. For the chosen method of semi-structured interviews, I selected respondents from my circle of acquaintances. The choice was quite deliberate, as with many of them I knew for a long time. Therefore I have had an opportunity to watch some of their educational practices or behaviors, and wondered whether their views correspond to their actions. An important aspect when examining the similarities or...

Hrušáková, Alexandra ; Salač, Josef (advisor) ; Švestka, Jiří (referee)
Determination of Parenthood - Alexandra Hrušáková Abstract In my thesis "Determination of Parenthood", I focused on the largest area of family law. Everyone's life is influenced by his family the whole life. And there are many consequences connected to the relation between a child and his parents. My topic responds lively to the changes brought by current scientific and technical progress and dynamic development and metamorphoses in our society. I tried to describe it in a complex way, but in order to put accent on the most important segments of this problem. From the times of ancient Rome there exists the principle "mater semper certa est, pater incertus", which means that the identity of the mother is always certain, but the father isn't. However there exist some situations in which the principle could not be so clear. These situations created objective of this thesis. This thesis is divided into ten chapters. In every single chapter I wasn't only working with Czech law, but I also attempted to compare it to legislation of another countries The first chapter called Parenthood and Child is dealing with the theoretical definition of the components of a relation among parents and children and the rights and obligations rising from this relation. The next chapter presents The Right of the child to know his or...

Development of Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix) microsatellite markers
Vaněčková, Dominika ; Munclinger, Pavel (advisor) ; Burri, Marta (referee)
The aim of this work was the construction of set of microsatellites for the Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix). I succeeded in isolation of seven new specific microsatellites. Another microsatellite markers were passed from close relative galliform species (Galliformes). On the whole I gained 18 microsatellite loci which were used for study of population charakteristics of three partridge populations from Stodůlky, Písecko and Milešín. The analysis showed conspicuous structuredness of these populations and surprisingly low values (less then 100) of their effective population sizes. Seven of the microsatellites were chosen for analysis of paternity. Indeed I found the evidence of extrapair paternity in this putatively monogamous bird. Finally I conclude, on the basis of sequenation of mitochondrial control region that our populations belong to the western linage of mitochondrial DNA.
The theme of Hamlet in Joyce's Ulysses: The reflections of Stephen Dedalus's aesthetic theory in his later theory of Hamlet and the specific implications that arise from it
Brymová, Petra ; Pilný, Ondřej (advisor) ; Armand, Louis (referee)
The thesis deals with the theory of Hamlet created by Stephen Dedalus, the main protagonist of Ulysses, and with its counterpart in the form of Joyce's theory, which can be imagined as a twisted theory of Stephen reflected in the narrative of Ulysses. The first chapter concerns the origins of Stephen's Hamlet theory; it focuses on Stephen's aesthetic views with emphasis on the terms Stephen uses and shows how Stephen diverts from the models he is drawing on. It is revealed that the basic concept of Stephen's aesthetic theory is the indispensability of "real life" for an artistic creation. Most of the terms Stephen employs include this issue, except for his idea of a "detached artist", which is the very opposite of a contact with reality. However, this paradox is a link towards reconcilliation of two opposing tendencies, which seems to form the essence of an artistic creation. The chapter likewise comments on Joyce's ironical treatment of Stephen's views. Stephen detaches himself from Christianity, yet he uses religious parallels and thus, paradoxically, pays homage to it. Irony also surfaces concerning the relation between an artist and his work of art; Joyce's "new" theory of Hamlet is closer to Aquinas than Stephen's original. In a similar way Joyce regards Stephen's analogy between a literary...

Prokopová, Johana ; Novotná, Hana (advisor) ; Pernicová, Kristina (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with conception of family of adolescents who are placed in institutional care. The target group of adolescent men aged 15-17 years, who are placed in a diagnostic institute for youth, was selected. The main aim of this work was to find out what attitudes these chosen adolescents have toward paternity. The theoretical part of the work focuses on selected characteristics of adolescence, parenthood and the specifics of the diagnostic institute for youth and children or adolescents who are placed in it. It also describes attitudes and possibilities how to measure them. The empirical part of the work represents a qualitative research, which was carried out within this thesis. A semi-structured interview was chosen as a method of data collection, after that the data were rewritten and analysed using interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA). The results of the research introduce a typology of ideal roles that the figure of the father should fulfill according to the respondents. In their conception of family, selected adolescents mostly work with the traditional concept of family. For them, the fatherhood means for the most part the responsibility that the father should assume for the whole family, which is confronted with respondents' current unpreparedness. The results also...
